Blake is like 21 or 22.  The animal he lets live on his face makes him look old!

i think the team collapsed so when they revived it, they wanted a new name/image.

I believe long term it might need surgery, though no doubt at some stage he’ll pop on and give us some details. He’s a great player so hopefully he gets a full ice hockey career.

That doesn’t bode well for NZ under 18’s.  Hope its a speedy recovery!

If anyone sees those BSport guys up in Akl for the game, give them a pat on the back.  We got some good radio coverage this year.  Legitimizes the sport.

Lots of Red Devils players in there.

Facinating to see Ryan Ruddle doing so well. He must be one of the few south island inline hockey players who have actually bothered to transition properly to ice hockey. Most of the top players seem to treat it as an amusing hobby alongside their regular sport of inline hockey.

There are very few inline players left in Chch.  Almost all play ice hockey but in fairness to most of them, inline is their main sport.  They don’t view it as the poor cousin to ice.  Inline is the top of the food chain.  Guys like Dion Bunt, Shane Clark, Jay Chadwick use ice as full rink training for inline since we only have a small hall to play in.

Hi its 12:49pm and I’m reading annoying posts by other people who are trying to test logic.

I remember one off-season in London where I went to a pick-up game.  On the other team was Joe Thornton.  Joe scored on me and I eventually lost the game.  So therefore I’m worse than him……oh wait…..let me think……yes, yes in fact it does mean that I’m not as good as him.  In fact I pretty much suck compared to him.  Please disregard the previous statement and carry on as normal.  Anyone want to buy some goalie gear?
