Hey Vince. Do u still want to play Easton Cup ?. I cant seem to find enough players to make another team and I dont know the status of goalies for the other teams. Im presuming ( might be wrong) that the leftovers will be split between the remaining teams but I dont know at this stage. let me know what your status is

It appears I am working that weekend now and I have to pick up our import on friday morning. I don’t mind giving dunedin a sneak peak of him but I doubt he wants to play hockey right after flying for 20+ hours. Sorry

I hear that the Thunder have a very strong team this year – certainly the exclusion of some Dunedin based players must indicate the quality of the players and goalies available.

I heard about some Bryant kid. Supposed to play like Kobe but was more like Michael Jordan getting cut in his first year and then dominating the world starting the second time around

Lol. This is NZ, not Canada

They had to in aussie too. Not terribly uncommon. Players fall under the leagues umbrella insurance policy which many rinks often want.

Which seems kind of weird, seeing as its an external tournament isn’t it?

Has anyone taught them the unofficial ’10 goal limit’?

It’s gotta be pretty demotivating for the other teams when they get hammered that severely.

I’ll suit up for Gore and Maniototo. No one will know. I bet I could keep the score to under 18 goals against.

punctuation I beleive is how its spelt. Hmm I think If we were to go round picking faults with everyone in this forum it’d be a long post

I believe that believe is correctly identified by “believe” and not “beleive”

Do they not teach spelling in the Queenstown schooling system?

queenstown? Where did that come from? This uknown mystery poster could have many issues, that comment does not place a fair representation on the NZ education system and a unfair attack on the schooling system in queenstown. the poster could suffer from a number of problems, not just poor schooling as you suggest
[/quote:227clqzh]

You seem to forget that some people are quite adept at discovering the location of the said poster. We live in a very traceable digital world!

It’s fair to say though that we can not simply blame the education received in Queenstown as the sole contributer to poor spelling and sentence structure. We also need to blame the parents and hip hop.

I heard that they got a bit annoyed with you trying to flash your glove at _every_ shot that came your way – high, low, five hole, blocker side.

I think it was flashing his glove during the handshake afterwards that really did Stefan in!

Oi! I wasn’t kicked out. I just decided to leave partly due to a strong pushing force being exerted on me. :-[

So if I was willing to play on a team (hint hint hint) that requires a goalie (hint hint hint), I would be best to talk to Larry instead of saying, “my name is Vince Mitalas and I play goalie and would be willing to play on a team that needs a goalie”?

I have a red devils t-shirt if you like! The other t-shirt will have to go through Ryan as Kyle suggested

I didn’t think they would be so outmatched. A number of the guys I played against weren’t there. There was some turmoil with selection apparently. Some of the guys were called and said you need to pay $7000 in one week and tell them now whether you are in or not!

By the looks of it, we might be seeing Australia in our group again. Lost 6-0 to Slovenia and 7 to 1 to japan. Shot differential of 59-12 in JPN game and 46 to 6 against SLO. Their game against Lithuania will be a good indication whether they are relegated.

47 to 15 in shots. Were Zaks goals soft? Stats say NZ badly outplayed them as far as opportunities. I certainly saw some excellent saves I didn’t expect the Greek goalie to make. Should have been a romp with a shot difference like that.
